Good quality and perfect for what I want them for

I have slim wrists, and these fit me fine, but if I were much bigger, I think I would struggle to get them on. However, I would check the size first. They are advertised for most wrists. They are mostly made of leather and are very strong. The slide cord catches take a little getting used to but work well and don’t come loose. It’s a nice selection that looks great when worn in any combination. They are detailed, soft, flexible, and very comfortable to wear. They are great for any occasion, and being black, they go with any clothes. For the set of five, I think they are great value. I am very pleased with them, and I think they would make a great gift.

I'm currently unsure how I feel about this product. The bracelets arrive in a sturdy, glossy, black box. Inside firstly is a kraft card from the manufacturer, then a black tissue wrapped parcel and finally the bracelets sealed in cellophane on a card. It would make a very acceptable gift like this but I am wondering if all this packaging is a little overkill. On opening the cellophane, the first thing to hit me is a really odd smell, which is quite heavy and has given me a headache. It doesn't seem to be a leather smell, perhaps it's chemicals to finish the leather or dye to give every piece a consistent colour or it could be glue to keep some of the braid decorations in place. The beaded bracelet is on elastic which carries the wooden beads. They are all nicely formed, smooth to touch and identical in size. The other three, leather, bracelets are each well made, nicely constructed and the same size. Each of those three is on a cord with sliding closure and it is possible for me to open and close all of them with one hand. There are 'creases' in the leather where they have been wrapped round the card backing but they will smooth out and become more supple in use. The cowrie shell is held in place well and is an attractive, deep ivory shade. I have chubby hands yet was able to get all 4 on without difficulty but my skin started prickling as if something was irritating it. Maybe whatever is causing the smell? There are no marks or irritation on my wrist but, half an hour after taking them off, I can still feel a prickling. Perhaps I'm just particularly sensitive but I will not be passing these over to the young teen I had them in mind for. The look and presentation of the bracelets is very nice and I do think the £16.99 price is reasonable, I'm just iffy given my reaction to them.
